A large horse trailer pulled up outside Rosemind Hill.Inside two horses whinnied now that their long trip was over.A lean girl climbed out of the cab and walked to the back. Two halters and lead ropes hung over her shoulder.Opening the back and pulling out a ramp she walked up it.Soon she came back with an elegant 17.3hh Arab stallion.Tying him to a ring on the side she went back in.A loud whinny echoed through the stables as the mare let everyone know she was here. Her sleek body was black. Her Thoroughbred build was beautiful and perfect. Her halter had a bronze nameplate that read "Tribal Queen".The stallions read,"Blue Hawk".Tying her beside the stallion she undid there shipping boots and rugs in the warm sunlight.Stowing them away she untied the horse and lead them around the yard to get rid of cramps. On the front of her shirt is said,"Mississippi Endurance and Jumping Champion:Ashley Morgan".She retied them to the trailer and pulled out a small cellphone and called her parents to tell them she made it.Leaving a message she gave the horses some cool water and a carrot.

I gazed out at Vinten as he grazed. the sleek stallion was so wonderful and kind. he could be pastured with geldings because he was so gentle. I watched another truck pull in. I stepped back and walked up to the horses. "Hello there! I am Cheyenne. Are you going to rent some stalls here?" I asked as I patted the stallion's neck.

ooc: a 17.3 arab? Wow. Tallest I've ever seen personally was 16.1 hh...but mine is only 14.3, lol.
Faye looked up when she heard a truck make its way up the drive. She walked out of the tack room, where she had been busy organizing her things, to stand in the main isleway, looking out at the girl who was busy taking care of her two horses. She leaned her shoulder against the wall, running her hand thoughtfully through Sin's sleek mane. The mare's neck was craned over the edge of the half open stall door, nares flared out to take in the scent of the two new arrivals. Her cool brown eyes were calm, though. She'd spent years on the track, so changes were just a part of life. Her daughter, however, was not as calm. She jigged nervously to and fro, trying to get a good look at what was happening. She wasn't nearly as tall as her mother, though eventually she would outgrow even her. But it was harder for her to get a good look at the newcomers. She let out a shrill, youthful winney, laced with of curiosity and nerves.

"Yes I am going to be renting two stalls. My name is Ashley Morgan and these are Blue Hawk and Tribal Queen.Hawk is the stallion and Tribal is the mare."Ashley said.Going to the front of the cab she shut off the engine and looked at the scenery."This a whole lot different from Mississippi."She pulled out a hat and placed it on her head.It read,"Mississippi Girl."Smiling she turned to Cheyenne and said,"Where can I place my horses. They need to go into a pasture for an hour right now to get the kinks out."Untying their leads she wrapped them each around her hand twice.

Alex watched from the stall of his own horse. He observed that the trailer was rather large and that the girl in the truck seemed very confident about her new surroundings. When the girl got out, he noticed that she was very tall and lean, just like a rider should be. As the girl went around the back of the trailer, Alex bolted his horse's stall door shut and made his way across the yard. He arrived at the site just as the girl was asking about where she could put her horses. He glanced at Cheyenne and stepped foward. "I would like to help, if that's O.K. with you, Cheyenne." He glanced at the new girl. I wonder what she's like. She must be an amazing rider to have two beautiful horses like that.... He smiled at her and looked over at Faye with Sin, searching for a sign that she liked, or even noticed, the new girl.

Exhaling deeply, Faye stood straight. She noticed Alex make his way out to meet the girl, she figured she might as well follow suit. She wiped her hands on her jeans, ridding herself of the film of dust she had gathered from her horse, and made her way to the new girl. She smiled, hands in her pockets. "Hi there," she drawled, her thick cajun accent adding a unique tone to her words. Despite the fact that not much was happening, she couldn't help but feel in the way. It was a horrid habit, but one that had been ingrained into her psyche. She excused herself, making her way pas them to her truck. Shoot. She didn't need anything from her truck, had no reason to be there. She opened the passenger door and leaned in, resting her elbows on the seat. Something caught her eye on the passenger floorboard, what seemed to be just a scrap of paper. She stood stock upright when she flipped it over, banging her head in the process. In a scramble, she shoved the photo into her pocket, turned around, slamming the door behind her, and walked back towards the barn. With one hand she rubbed the knot forming on the back of her head, but kept the other in her pocket, clinging to the old picture.

Alex saw out of the corner of his eye that Faye was making her way over to greet the new girl. He saw some hesitance in her step as she made her way to her truck. He followed her and she stopped, noticing something. Alex stepped foward, "You O.K.? You seem out of sorts." In fact you always seem that way... He tried to hide his concern, but he wasn't very good about it. He saw her shove something into her pocket. He eyed it curiously, but brushed it off. He noticed that she was rubbing the back of her head. "Did you hurt yourself? Do you want some ice?"

She paused, looking up at Alex. "I'm fine, thanks." She needed to get over this, and she knew it. But she'd never get back to normal if she didn't at least try. God, I came here to start over, not to drag up old habits! Life would never change if she didn't make an attempt. She gave Alex a genuine smile, before looking back at the new girl. "You need any help with anything?"

Alex saw her smile but sensed something was still wrong. He smiled back. He wished that there was some way that he could get her to open up to him. He loved being a good friend for those around him. You need any help with anything?, he heard her say. He got an idea! "I've already got everything done for the day but my horse still needs to be ridden. I was hoping that you would go on a hack with me?" He looked at the ground, hoping that she wouldn't reject him. He had always been a 'yes' person, really. He looked back up at Faye and wondered what she was thinking.

Faye smiled, pleasantly surprised. A ride would be nice, and she did want to spend more time with Alex. He seemed to be genuinely nice, a trait she'd thought was lost among men. "That'd be great". There was a bit more life to her voice, a strain of courage building up inside her.
ooc: sorry it's so short, I have to go to bed, lol.

occ: it's ok. Alex was glad she wanted to go. He wanted to get to know her better. He smiled again. "I'll go get my horse tacked up. Which trail do you want to go down?" He wanted to go to the trail where the fallen logs were, but it was up to the lady to decide, in his world.
