The sound of squeaky brakes rang out loud and clear, announcing the arrival of Faye Brasseaux. She hopped out of the cab, slamming the door to the beat up chevy that had barely managed the journey north. She leaned against the cool metal of the door, taking one last drag of her menthol before grinding it under her well worn boot. She exhaled deeply, mustering up the energy to find whoever was in charge here. Her eyes wandered back to the two horse trailer hitched up behind, but more importantly, to the two gems inside it. What great girls they had been for putting up with her. It had been a long drive, a long day, a long year. But things were finally beginning to look up. She'd spent forever trying to find a place to board, and had been relieved to find a place like Rosemond Hill. She sighed, pulling her thick black hair into a loose ponytail before walking up to the barn. Hopefully someone would be there.

(((your a great RPer!))) Cheyenne opened the double doors at the stable. She led Vint out into the pasture infront of the barn. The frisky stallion galloped out and then began grazing. She got a galance at a pick up. After latching the gate, she began walking towards the entrance.

Alex noticed a girl a little older than himself. He put the halter on the rack next to his horse's stall. He introduced himself. "Hi! I'm Alex Woodarrow. You must be new here." Looking past her shoulder, he noticed the trailer. He walked up to the edge and peered in. He whistled. "They look wonderful. Although, they are bound to be tired. Do you want me to help you unload all of your stuff?" He looked back round at her.

((lol, I'm not that good, I promise. I just have good days sometimes ^^ )) ((edited...becuase I didn't see kiki's post)) Faye looked up from her feet as she noticed a jet stud fourbeat across a nearby paddock. She paused, no longer lost in the maze of her own thoughts. It was funny how such a simple thing like a horse acting coltish could wake you. She turned her gaze to a young man who was making her way towards her. She smiled, returning her end of the introductions. "Hi, Alex. I'm Faye Brasseaux" Her accent was thick; it was understandable, but still dripping with cajun charm. She reached into the tack compartment of the trailer, pulling out two leather leads. "Sure, I'd love some help. She snapped the lead onto Sin's halter, giving the sunkissed mare an affectionate pat on the neck. She opened the back, and gave the mare a soft tug on the tail, singnalling that it was time to get out. Sin snorted, manuvering her way down and out of the trailer, to stand wide eyed beside the girl. She was a good 17.2 hh, and fit as anything. She was much more well behaved than the typical thoroughbred, but by no means was she in the category of "bombproof". She died the mare to the hitch on the side of the trailer, then unloaded the yearling. Jazz had never traveled outside her birthplace, and was not sure she liked this whole experience. Her nostrils flared to reveal the pinks, eyes searched the place nervously. She let out a loud call, nervously shifting her weight. She settled a little when her dam wickered softly back. "If you're ok with it, you can lead Sin." She said to Alex, motioning towards the palomino.

"Ill go and get some stalls prepared." I quikly walked back to the stable. I filled two stalls with straw and filled the fodder box. I came through the side door and walked back to the trailer. "All done! I can't wait to show you around!" I said. "Need and help with anything?" I added.

Alex nodded akwardly. He took Sin's lead rope from Faye, gently and for a moment, their hands touched. He looked at her and then took the lead rope. While he walked away, he couldn't help but notice that Faye's eyes seemed distant and reluctant to let the world in. He led Sin into her stall and unclipped the lead rope, quietly. He closed the door and bolted it. Slowly, he went back to the trailer thinking about how Faye's eyes looked. He asked Faye if there was anything else he could do to help. He looked around for Cheyenne.

Faye followed Alex and Sin towards the fresh new stalls, keeping a hand on the dancing filly's wither, whispering soft words of encouragement. "Everything's fine, chèr. Don't you worry now." Though the thouhts were aimed at the nervous foal, it did some good to her own soul. Life was going to change for the better, she was sure of that. As she closed the stall door, she sighed, softly. In one fluid motion, she drew her shoulders straight, raised her eyes from the ground, and turned back towards the trailer. "Thank you, Alex." She said, just barely looking him in the eye. It was still hard for her, even after putting all these miles behind her. Her dark eyes turned to focus on Cheyenne, "A tour would be great," she said, "the rest of the things can wait for now."

(((Do you play the Legacy of Rosemond Hill? Cuz our stable is just like the one on the CD game))) Cheyenne walked down the aisle with Faye. "Here is the shower and grooming stall. You can tie your horse here if you need to." I turned and looked at the supplies. "Here is the stable cleaning supplies. The shovel here is to clean out your stall. The large brush is to sweep out the hay in the aisle." I turned and walked down to the center of the stable. "Here is where all the saddles and bridles hang. You can use them on your horses." I turned and opened a side door. "This is the manure pile where you can dump the manure." I contued walking down the barn and came to another door. "This is the clubroom." i opned the door and walked in. "Heres the table, phone, radio, and theres the sofa." I walked out and closed the door behind me. "Heres where most of the supplies are." I said as I turned to the right. "This is the fodder box." I said pointing to the large silver bin. "Theres the red bucket you can use to fill up your horse's feed box with. Theres the wheel barrow to clean stalls with. Theres the hay storage and theres a pitch fork to spread straw with. Any questions?" i asked. i loved giving tours of the stable.

(I DO!!!!! I won it! It was awesome! lol) Alex turned to Faye. "It was no problem. I love to help people...and horses." he added with a smile. He noticed that she didn't look him straight in the eye. "Do you want to grab a soda with me?"
